6th Annual Veterans Day Service - Olema Cemetery
The 6th Annual Veterans Day Service will be held at the Olema Cemetery, on Tuesday November 11, 2014 at 9:00am, rain or shine. The Coast Guard from CAMSPAC Point Reyes will preside over the service, along with their Honor Guard unit, under the direction of Commander Derby Flory. Flags will be placed on veterans’ graves starting at 8:00am (all are welcome), and the presentation of colors will commence the ceremony at 9:00am. As the ceremony will be held on a school holiday, local schoolchildren are especially encouraged to attend. Our local churches will be represented by Reverend Dr. Robert Weldy, Jr. of St. Columba’s Church, Father Manuel Igrobay of Sacred Heart Church, and Reverend Kaye Whitney of Point Reyes Presbyterian Church. Refreshments will be served in the Freitas Center at Sacred Heart Church in Olema, immediately following.
