ACR Conservation Talks:
Coyotes in Our Midst: Learning to Coexist with America's Native Song Dog

Coyotes in our Midst will cover the natural history of coyotes, the dangers they face while trying to survive and raise their families, and the benefits they bring to ecosystems. It will also share information on how humans and coyotes can safely live amongst each other, both in urban and rural environments. 

 

Speaker's Biography: Keli Hendricks

Project Coyote Ranching with Wildlife Coordinator

Keli is a former professional horse trainer who now helps people and wildlife coexist as the Ranching with Wildlife Coordinator for Project Coyote. Keli also rehabilitates injured and orphaned wildlife as an animal care volunteer for Sonoma County Wildlife Rescue. Keli and her husband Dean live on the Bar C R Ranch in Petaluma, where Dean has managed the cow-calf operation for over 20 years.

ACR depends on the generosity of its community to administer education programs such as the Conservation Talks and manage the 5,000 acres of wildlife sanctuaries owned by ACR. Upon registering for this event, please make a donation! We suggest $15-25 per attendee per event. 

 

What else can I do when I visit the Martin Griffin Preserve?

There are picnic areas for lunch, hiking opportunities, trained naturalists available to answer questions, and 1,000 acres of redwood forests, fresh water ecosystems, coastal scrub, and mixed evergreen forests.
