Afterschool Nature Program, October-December

Date:
Wednesday, October 10, 2018 - 2:30pm to 4:30pm
Location:
Event Description:

Our afterschool nature program gives children the opportunity to experience unstructured, child-inspired play in the beautiful Commonweal Garden. Nature is our teacher as we play and explore the natural wonders of the world. The children guide their own learning as they choose activities they are interested in while outside. We believe the diversity and richness of sensations and experiences offered by being outside helps children develop and grow.

This afterschool program is designed for children in Kindergarten through 4th grade, and will run on Wednesdays from 2:30 until 4:30 pm in the Commonweal Garden, October 10th through December 11. We will be outside rain or shine. No program on October 31 or November 21. Following registration for the program you'll receive more information about what to pack to ensure your child's comfort and safety. If you have special requests for your child, please note this in the registration form. The cost of the program is $180; if you would like to inquire about a full or partial scholarship please contact info@naturainstitute.org.

Car-pooling is strongly encouraged!
