Event Description:
Artist's Statement:

For the past 20 years I've been making and selling Maiolica watercolor style pottery, but my first love has always been watercolor painting on paper.  This is my first show since I was in College and I'm thrilled that the Dance Palace is giving me this opportunity.   Most of the pieces I'll be showing are an extension of the painting I do on my pottery - lots of fruits and flowers and few West Marin landscapes.

I studied Fine Art at Idyllwild School of the Arts and Design and Architecture at College of Marin. I've also studied fabric design in Berkeley and Interior Design at UC Berkeley Extension in San Francisco.   I am Exhibiting Member of ACGA (Associate of Clay and Glass Artists).  In my studio in Pt. Reyes Station I teach clay & surface techniques.  I participate twice yearly in Pt. Reyes Open Studios.

Laurie Curtis' work is on display 2/24 -3/29.  There will be  reception for the artist on Saturday, March 4 from 1-3 PM.
