February 2, 9:00 to noon, Bald Hill Broom Bust

Please join One Tam, MMWD, and Marin County Parks for our annual Bald Hill Broom Bust! Volunteers will focus on containing the spread of French and Scotch broom monocultures and also eradicate pioneer patches.

We can meet at Deer Park and hike, bike or carpool to the site. Group leaders will depart Deer Park at 8:45. Or just meet us up there! Visit our Google Map for more information and directions. RSVP encouraged but not required by emailing volunteerprogram@marinwater.org

8:45 – Hike, Bike or Carpool with group from Deer Park
9:15 – Volunteer sign-in, breakfast snacks
9:30 – Safety briefing
9:30 to noon – Habitat Restoration
Noon to 1:00 – Lunch provided! 

 

Please bring a water bottle, closed toe shoes and clothes for variable weather. Bring your lunch. We will provide tools, breakfast snacks and water!

Suitable for ages 8 and up.  Minors under the age of 16 must have a guardian present. Those ages 16-18 must have permission from a guardian.
