This Sunday, December 14, at Art By The Bay Weekend Gallery, Bart Hopkin performs at 3pm. Suggested Donation: $10 at the door.
Original and unique musical instruments are the heart of Bart Hopkin’s instrumentarium of acoustic inventions. These are not computers and synthesizers, but hand-made and human-played constructions of wood and air and strings and springs. They’ll take you to musical places you’re not likely find any other way; some rhythmic & lively, some lyrical & lovely, some strange, and then some that may seem strangely familiar. At Art by the Bay, Bart will be playing one or two from his series of partially-self playing instruments, some guitar-like oddities, and who knows what else.
