Beaucoup Chapeux at Blackbird
Beaucoup Chapeaux (www.beaucoupchapeaux.net) from Grass Valley/Nevada City runs an intense EuroCafe gamut, from gypsy jazz to French bistro to Greek & Balkan musics--and creates a very magical niche with this music. It's a feel, an ambiance, bistro bonhomie, part circus, altogether eccentric.
Along with original music, their repertoire includes hauntingly wild and beautiful music from Europe as well as the Americas. Their last performance in February was so fun, they are returning for a repeat show, promising even more fun, an evening of excellent music, stories, entertainment.
