Brazilian Jazz - Guitarist Ricardo Peixoto and Grammy-nominated Pianist Marcos Silva

Having recently completed a recording project with Producer / Musician Ricky Fataar, Ricardo Peixoto will perform their new works on Nov 17th on the Inverness Ridge. He will be joined by Grammy-nominated Marcos Silva.
Ricardo Peixoto
Guitarist, composer, and arranger Ricardo Peixoto came to the US on a scholarship to the Berklee College of Music in Boston and subsequently settled in the Bay Area. His compositions have been featured on Inverse Universe with vocalist Claudia Villela, on Kindness of Strangers with Terra Sul, and on Bud Shanks Tomorrows Rainbow, among others. He has recorded, performed, and collaborated with, among others, Flora Purim and Airto, Dom Um Romão, Sivuca, Claudio Roditi, Toots Thielemans, Dori Caymmi, Guinga, Arturo Sandoval and Spok. He has performed throughout the US, Europe, Canada, Japan, and Brazil.
Marcos Silva
Grammy-nominated multi-instrumentalist, composer, arranger, and educator Marcos Silva performs worldwide. He has toured with many world-renowned artists, including Paquito DRivera, Bud Shank, Dori Caymmi, and many others. He was the musical director for Flora Purim and Airto Moreira for 24 years. Marcos has written arrangements for Dizzy Gillespies band and replaced Gil Evans as arranger-composer of Airtos Spiritual Mass in Germany. He is sought after as a producer of CDs, including three of his own. Marcos heads the Brazilian Music Department at the California Jazz Conservatory in Berkeley.
