Event Description: 

The a Western Weekend organizing commitee has met periodically over the past few months to better organize and coordinate the Western Weekend events.  While the parade on Sunday is what people come from near and far to see, the events on Saturday can serve as the annual community day.  Toby's Feed Barn is the center for the Saturday events with a program that can appeal to old and young alike.

4-H West Marin Fair–12am-4:00--Awards at 3pm

Gallery Route One-Artists in the Schools reception

Latino Photography Project & Salsa Contest 4-6pm

WMS Rock Band & Latino Dancing 5-6pm

Barn Dance & Taco Dinner 6-9pm

Announcement of Junior Grand Marshal & Grand Marshal 7pm

The decision to replace the tradition of the Western Weekend Queen with a Junio Grand Marshall is a considered attempt to establish a new tradition that provides all youth with an incentive and a model for community service and leadership.
