The Art of Listening
A Reading & Conversation Tickets: Free event. Donations appreciated.

In this special evening gathering, author and playwright Christian McEwen will focus on the art of listening, reading excerpts from her book, World Enough & Time, from her play, Legal Tender: Women and the Secret Life of Money, and from her newest collection, Sparks from the Anvil: the Smith College Poetry Interviews. There will be plenty of time for questions and discussion. Co-sponsored by Mesa Refuge.

About Christian McEwen In addition to her newest book, Sparks from the Anvil: the Smith College Poetry Interviews, Christian McEwen is the author of The Tortoise Diaries—Daily Meditations on Creativity and Slowing Down, and World Enough & Time: On Creativity and Slowing Down. She is a poet, a playwright, a documentary filmmaker, a teacher, and an editor. She co-edited: The Alphabet of the Trees: A Guide to Nature Writing; Naming the Waves: Contemporary Lesbian Poetry; and, with Sue O'Connell, Out the Other Side: Contemporary Lesbian Writing. She teaches writing workshops throughout the United States.
