Christian Spirituality & The Ecological Crisis
AN EVENING DISCUSSION WITH THE REVEREND VINCENT PIZZUTO, PH.D.
VICAR OF ST. COLUMBA’S
February 22, 2017 @ 7:00 P.M.
You are welcome to the first quarterly “Fireside Lecture Series” offered by St. Columba's new Vicar, Fr. Vincent Pizzuto, Ph.D., Professor of Biblical Theology and Christian Mysticism at the University of San Francisco.
The presentation will explore the ecological crisis through the lens of Christian mysticism to discuss why pragmatic solutions alone cannot resolve the crisis. As we face the inevitability of climate change, science and religion must explore new ways to collaborate to combat ignorance, the prevailing sense of disconnect between humanity and the natural world, and to motivate and inspire new forms of environmental sustainability.
Location: St. Columba's, 12835 Sir Francis Drake Blvd, Inverness
