Your home is your biggest investment and it should be working for you. Come learn how the creation of a legal second unit (accessory dwelling unit or in-law unit) can benefit you and your community. Ellen and Rachel of Lilypad Homes will cover topics including the various types of second units, zoning requirements, financing options, and a new, simpler process to turn a bedroom into a "junior" second unit. Room rental options will also be discussed.
The first class on Saturday is an overview and free of charge, but space is limited so please call to reserve your seat. Saturday class will be held at the Point Reyes Station library. The second class on Sunday will be an interactive session during which the instructors will answer questions and review layouts of participants homes for second unit potential. Sunday class will be held at the CLAM office. $45 for Sunday session. Saturday session is a prerequisite for Sunday session.
