Community Medicine Zoom Call: Garden to Gut - Healthy Soil, Healthy Microbiome and You

Date:
Wednesday, October 14, 2020 - 6:30pm to 7:30pm
Event Description:

Our microbial community in and on and around our bodies effect so much of our wellbeing. Learn how to support this inner community and how their health supports yours.

Join Dr. Anna O'Malley with the Natura Institute for Ecology & Medicine in an exploration of the health and resilience that comes from nourishing attunement to what our bodies need to be well, and the ecological consciousness that arises from being in a tending relationship with the natural world.

Every two weeks we will explore a different aspect of our human health and wellbeing, with a focus on how our body works, what it needs to be in balance, and how relationship with plants (growing, eating, making medicine therefrom) optimizes our health and brings us into a reciprocal relationship with the Earth. Building skills and understanding empowers us to be healthier, and less likely to be dependent on medications that may cause harm. It lowers risk of developing chronic illnesses like diabetes, and helps us be strong in the face of acute illnesses like COVID-19. Growing culinary and medicinal plants is a path toward a healing relationship with yourself and the Earth.

Upcoming Dates:
