AN EVENING WITH ISABEL ALLENDE: TO BENEFIT THE DANCE PALACE

Event Description: 
Chilean writer Isabel Allende, a longtime Marin County resident, won worldwide acclaim with her bestselling first novel, The House of the Spirits, which also established her as a feminist force in Latin America’s male-dominated literary world. She has since written some 20 more books, including her latest novel, The Japanese Lover. Known for writing in the literary style of magic realism, Allende is adept at marvelous surprises. At this evening benefit for the Dance Palace Community & Cultural Center, she will read a little, converse a little, answer questions, and more. Sponsored by Point Reyes Books and the Dance Palace. Location: West Marin School.

A pre-event reception kicks off the evening, featuring hearty hors d'oeuvers prepared by Osteria Stellina.  The reception will be hosted at the studio of Ernesto Sanchez, 11101 Highway 1, Suite 107, Point Reyes Station
