FEARLESS FERMENTATION - Workshop

Date:
Saturday, September 14, 2019 - 9:00am to 12:00pm
Event Description:

In this hands-on workshop, Karen Diggs of Kraut Source will teach you how to make your very own sauerkraut and pickles as she shares the art and science of vegetable preservation with good bacteria. Students will gain technical knowledge on subjects such as lacto-fermentation and fermented beverages, such as kombucha and kefir, and how the brines may be used as a starter culture.

Course also includes a tasting of Karen's own gourmet ferments, and each participant will make their own sauerkraut with a selection of spices and herbs and take their fermentation creations home to enjoy. There will be plenty of time to answer all of your fermentation questions.
