Fire-safe Landscaping Webinar, UC Marin Master Gardeners

Date:
Tuesday, March 23, 2021 - 6:00pm to 7:30pm
Event Description:

One hour. Jim Kasper, a UC Marin Master Gardener offers guidance on planing & maintaining healthy fire-smart landscaping. With photos, videos, & real-world examples of recommended best practices he will explain how to have aesthetically pleasing landscaping that also enhances the defensible space around your home. Also includes a 30-minute Q&A. How you can incorporate fire-smart best practices in your landscape plan and reduce fire risk. Many home gardens and landscapes in Marin County are well-established and mature but were not designed to deal effectively with wildfire. You’ll learn how to work toward developing your own fire-smart landscape design to better protect your home while retaining or improving garden health. Master Gardeners also incorporate topics like efficient use of water, biodiversity, sustainability, and steps to create a healthier natural environment in their presentation.

Tues., March 23, 6 pm. Register: Go at sgverg.org & click EVENTS. Or email: sgvalleyer@gmail.com & say, “Sign me up for Master Gardeners.”
