In The Mix highlights an exciting and dynamic mixture of artwork by the Gallery Route One’s 18 Artist Members, whose expertise includes painting, drawings, mixed media, photography, hand-made paper, sculpture and performance art. Gallery Route One is a truly unique exhibition space whose members consistently represent a cutting edge in the ecosystem of Bay Area art, as they have for over thirty years.

Artists: Mimi Abers, Johanna Baruch, Marna Clarke, Mary Mountcastle Eubank, Tim Graveson, Isis Hockenos, Madeline Nieto Hope, Steven Hurwitz, Geraldine LiaBraaten, Afton Love, Linda MacDonald, Diana Marto, Zea Morvitz, Dorothy Nissen, Andrew Romanoff, Igor Sazevich, Will Thoms, Vickisa

Visit the show and discover for yourself the extraordinary variety of media that these artists utilize in the creation of their artwork. If you are a first time visitor to the gallery or a long-time friend, this year’s exhibition will not disappoint! 

The Opening Reception will be held from 3 to 5 pm on Saturday, July 1st, with an artist talk at 2:30pm.Holen Sabrina Kahn Gallery Route One's new executive director will be speaking. Mark your calendars for the Wearable Art Party on Saturday, July 15th, and a salon on closing day, Sunday August 6th.

Gallery Route One is known for:

The Box Show, now in its 17th year, a fun and quirky fundraiser and exhibition with something for everyone, attracting over 6000 visitors each year.

The Latino Photography Project, which teaches photography to adult and student Latino residents of the West Marin community -  now in its 12th year.

GRO's Artists in the Schools Program, providing artists and poets for the  enhancement of science, environmental programs and elective art classes at local schools.

Project Space Exhibitions, a year-round endeavor in which the gallery engages with many of the most important issues of our times, featuring guest artists from around the world. “With the Earth”  is a series focused on environmental issues, while “Far From Home” focuses on issues of diaspora and immigration. Project Space is dedicated to community-oriented and social-justice themed exhibitions.

GRO is a destination gallery chosen by the North Bay Bohemian readers poll for many years as the best Art Gallery in Marin, and by Marin Magazine as one of the 100 best places in the county. We are hopeful that you will choose to honor us with a feature honoring our annual members exhibition.
