Why have over 7,000 people come to see THE BOX SHOW™ at Gallery Route One?
For the sheer joy of it and to see and bid on those phenomenal boxes! For the immensely popular BOX SHOW ™. Gallery Route One distributes 150 identically sized wooden boxes to 150 people. Each person creates a unique, extraordinary work of art that is on display at the gallery for seven weeks. Silent bidding for the boxes occurs throughout the exhibition, culminating in the dynamic live auction on Sunday, September 24.
THE BOX SHOW™ is a celebration of art making, community and the magic that begins with a plain wooden box.
The exhibition benefits Gallery Route One’s programs in the community: The Artists in the Schools Program, the Latino Photography Project, With the Earth: Arts and the Environment, and Social Justice exhibits.
Come and experience the inventive and ingenious way each box comes to life. There is something for everyone to enjoy at the Box Show.
A San Francisco Bay Area tradition. Don’t miss THE BOX SHOW™!
