Herpatology Education Day: Learn About Reptiles & Amphibians at Martin Griffin Preserve

Date:
Saturday, July 28, 2018 - 10:00am to 4:00pm
Event Description:

Want to hold a newt? Why is her belly orange? Did you see that Western fence lizard do some push-ups? Why do we celebrate every time we see a tick on a Western fence lizard? (Hint: it has to do with Lyme's disease!) Explore the fascinating lives of reptiles and amphibians with our volunteer Nature Guides!

The preserve is open from 10am to 4pm and Nature Guide-led activities focused on herps are throughout the day. Afterwards, go on a hike, spread out your picnic, visit our bookstore and Curiosity Room, and more! Suggested donation of $20 per family/car.
