Indigenous Wisdom & Resilience in Challenging Times

Date:
Sunday, October 8, 2017 - 2:00pm to 5:00pm
Event Description:

~Presented by Black Mountain Circle as part of our ongoing Geography of Hope: Ancestors and the Land Series~

Aleut Wisdom Holder Ilarion Merculieff will discuss spiritual and practical wisdom from indigenous traditions around the globe, in light of the challenges facing our earth and world today. Ilarion offers the long-view, as a messenger for wisdom keepers from many traditions who follow what is known as the “Original Teachings”. These teachings were given to all people at a time when plants, animals, and humans communicated with each other, and there was no separation between people and all living things. Today, indigenous elders are stepping forward to share what they know and understand about the world, about resilience, and what we need to do to support (not destroy) life and Mother Earth.
