Joy-Filled Vocal Improvisation Concert this Sunday 7 p.m.

Event Description: 

PROJECT VOX, an innovative vocal improv ensemble of 8 veteren singers, will be performing this Sunday, Dec. 8th, at the Presbyterian Church in San Geronimo, 7:00 p.m.  This entertaining group of 4 women/4 men collaboratively creates compelling pieces on the spot, weaving a rich tapestry of blended genres and styles. Mostly a cappella, and mostly improvised, you never quite know what will happen, though sure to be in the mix will be lip-defying vocal percussion, bass, synth, horns, guitar, sung stories, intriguing spoken word, fun characters, and other profound, silly, musical and meaningful moments.  Come join the frivolity!

Sunday, December 8th, 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. San Geronimo Community Presbyterian Church. 6001 Sir Francis Drake Blvd.  There will be two 40-minute sets w/an intermission in between.  Comfortable seating and ample parking.  DIRECTIONS from Point Reyes area about a 25 minute-drive: Heading EAST on Sir Francis Drake, turn RIGHT at the large intersection of SFD and Nicasio Valley Road.  The parking lot entrance is immediately on your right.  Concert will be held in the sanctuary space.

These members have performed/recorded with Bobby McFerrin, Rhiannon, Meredith Monk, Claudia Schmidt, David Worm, Raz Kennedy, Stefon Harris, Paul McCandless, David Balakrishnan (Turtle Island String Quartet), Paul Hanson, and Zakir Hussain.
