KWMR Radio Presents West Marin Kids Who Rock at the Taproom at Lagunitas Brewery, Petaluma on Monday, May 13, 2019 at 5:30 pm.
This family-friendly event celebrates youth and music at the Taproom at Lagunitas Brewing Company in Petaluma on Monday, May 13 from 5:30 to 8:30 pm. Live music entertainment will be provided by: Current students from West Marin School; the West Marin School Alumni band, “Shell 2”, reuniting for this celebratory event; and four other youth-led bands. The concert will be directed by West Marin School music teacher, Dave Whitney.
All ages are welcome. This event is $10 at the door, and free for kids 18 years and under. Pizza will be available for purchase, beverages will be for sale at the Taproom, and there will be a raffle. This event is a benefit for KWMR.
West Marin Kids Who Rockis an outgrowth of KWMR’s triweekly radio show, “Youth DJ Project.” This program provides a forum for school-aged children who want to learn about producing and hosting radio shows.
Lagunitas Brewing Company, located at 1280 N. McDowell Boulevard in Petaluma, has hosted KWMR’s last two birthday celebrations. The brewery has consistently and generously supported the West Marin-based radio station, as well as other community organizations.
