Let's Talk Capitalism

Date:
Thursday, October 29, 2015 - 11:00am to 12:00pm
Event Description:

On this week’s show we’re asking if private property rights and our capitalist system of economics are at the root of our global crises?

Is capitalism compatible with democracy? Don’t we enjoy the highest “standard of living” ever? We each can wield awesome personal, social and political power. We experience incredible comforts, shelter, care, mobility and security. With all the unprecedented short-term benefits of capitalism, can we ever make the priority to allow our species to survive and thrive in the natural world?

In your opinion, is industrial capitalism responsible for great injustices in our modern world? Are the rich getting richer and the poor getting poorer? Collectively are we decimating the life giving elements of nature? Do you believe that capitalism can be tamed or that it must be terminated?

Please listen to KWMR and call 415-663-8492, on Thursday, October 29th, between 11 and noon, to share your views.
