Let's Talk Time Capsule

Date:
Thursday, March 3, 2016 - 11:00am to 12:00pm
Event Description:

KWMR is organizing a 100-year time capsule this year. It will be filled with special 8.5 x 11 inch papers, covered with greyscale text, writings, drawings and/or pasted images on it. People who pledge to support KWMR can choose to include their message to the future. The time capsule will be buried on Black Mountain and the Marin Library will be charged with keeping track over the generations.

Paul Reffell, Robin Carpenter, Mary Frank and Bernie Stephan will be discussing all aspects of this project on this Thursday’s show (3/3) from 11 to noon. Please join us in thinking of ideas, images and symbols appropriate to encapsulate now and to be unearthed and examined by our descendants in 2116. What would you like to share over such a time period? Will there even be anyone around to unearth it and look inside? Call us on 415-663-8492 or tweet us @LetsTalkOnKWMR during the show with your thoughts on this or other time capsule projects.
