Marin MPA Watch

Event Description: 

Marin MPA Watch is a new Citizen-Science Program that is part of a statewide initiative to educate the public about Marin County’s Marine Protected Areas (MPAs) and to monitor human uses of coastal natural resources by training and supporting volunteers in the collection of relevant, scientifically rigorous data.  Volunteers are needed to walk transects on Limantour Beach, Drakes Beach, and Duxbury Reef and collect pertinent data based on statewide protocols.  Marin MPA Watch Informational Meetings

Marin MPA Watch is a collaborative partnership among: Environmental Action Committee of West Marin, Point Reyes National Seashore, California Academy of Sciences, and Gulf of the Farallones National Marine Sanctuary.
