Event Description:

In coordination with the Marin County Division of Mental Health and Substance Use Services (MHSUS), a community meeting is being held at the Dance Palace on August 13, 2013 @ 6:30 p.m. to gather feedback about the implementation of the Mental Health Services Act (MHSA) in West Marin.  (The three year budget cycle starts July 1, 2014 through June 30, 2017).  This meeting is an important step in the budget process as required by the Mental Health Services Act and the goal is to provide a vision for integrated services plan in collaboration with the West Marin community.  This meeting is one of a series which are taking place across Marin to gather input and recommendations for the delivery of mental health and substance use services, ranging from Prevention, to Early Intervention, to Treatment and Recovery.

The Mental Health Services Act is intended to address the needs of communities that are currently underserved, of which West Marin has been identified.  This community meeting will focus on the following service/programmatic questions:

West Marin would like more...

West Marin needs different..

West Marin deserves....

Please plan to attend the meeting to express the needs you see in the community, and your ideas for future program development.  Refreshments, child care and transportation will be provided.

Also, please pass this flyer along to anyone/everyone in your agency and your circle of community members.

If you can’t attend the meeting PLEASE provide your input via our online survey at:  http://www.co.marin.ca.us/depts/HH/main/mh/mhsa_faq.cfm
