MMWD: Interpretive Hike to Little Carson Falls

Date:
Tuesday, May 16, 2017 - 10:00am to 2:00pm
Event Description:

Tuesday May 16th, 10 AM to 2:00 PM

Join MMWD and our One Tam partner, the Marin County Parks, for a special outing. This hike begins with a slow climb up the Pine Mountain Fire Road through serpentine chaparral where wildflowers and birds abound. From the ridge we'll descend to the waterfall which is one of the few remaining breeding sites in the county for the rare foothill yellow-legged frog. 6.5 mile round trip, 1100 foot elevation gain. Remember to bring binoculars if you have them.

Meeting location is the Azalea Hill parking lot. From the town of Fairfax, drive up Fairfax-Bolinas Rd. for 3.8 miles (1.3 miles past the entrance to the Meadow Club). The parking area is on the left. This is a naturalist hike, not a volunteer event.
