Event Description:
MOTHER IRELAND
Afternoon of Irish Poetry, Storytelling, Music, Song, Dance, Food and Drink
Inspired by Edna O’Brien’s 1976 memoir, Mother Ireland, this gathering first took place in West Marin several decades ago. It featured poetry, storytelling, live music, spirited reminiscences of the auld country. It comes to life again this year as a tradition resurrected, and in fond memory of the St. Patrick’s Day Barbecue formerly held on this weekend by Sacred Heart Parish.
A benefit for KWMR, Dance Palace and Sacred Heart Parish
Saturday, March 7, 2 PM, $10 at the door

About Mother Ireland: Inspired by Edna O'Brien's 1976 memoir, Mother Ireland, this gathering first took place in West Marin several decades ago. It featured poetry, storytelling, live music, spirited reminiscences of the auld country, and a lot of people dressed in green. It comes to life again this year as a tradition resurrected, and in fond memory of the St. Patrick's Day Barbecue formerly held on this weekend by Sacred Heart Parish.
