Back by popular demand, after last summer’s riveting performance, the Lucid Art Foundation is creating a second concert at the Dance Palace Community Center in Point Reyes Station.  This year, the ensemble includes the addition of a string instrument, the Persian Tar.

Featured musicians:
Dehghani Brothers: Sina on Tomback and Samandar on Tar and Daf;
Tobias Roberson on Cajon; Fariba Bogzaran, Shamanic drum and poetic recitations; with special guest tabla players, Suphala Patankar from New York and Rishii Chowdhury from England.

Description: The evening offers a unique experience of sound, rhythm and poetic recitations with a group of innovative artists.  Moving from formless to form through music and poetic recitation is the spirit of the evening.  The concert will include improvisation with duet performances of Indian, Persian and Western drumming, together with the East string instrument, Tar and West string instrument, the Cello. Artistic direction by Fariba Bogzaran, who has gathered talented musicians to create a creative space to transport culture and language.
