One Heart - One Community Benefit BBQ

Date:
Sunday, June 25, 2017 - 12:00pm
Event Description:

Sacred Heart Church of Olema has been a cornerstone of West Marin for a century and a half and remains a vital asset to so many, in so many ways.   We Need Your Help to keep the doors open and the services flowing now more than ever!  In some ways nothing has changed at Sacred Heart since the mid 1800's when the Sacred Heart missionary fathers went back and forth to the island of Molokai to serve the leper colony.  Todays Sacred Heart Parish is still at the heart of the greater West Marin community; serving, sharing, striving for social justice, and lending helping hands in solidarity to all who are in need.  We come together looking to find peace in these troubling times, knowing that together great things can happen.  At the same time, so much in the world has changed, and the needs of the church center itself must be reinforced in order to maintain regular community service and to continue to provide baptisms and funerals, weddings and the holiday celebrations that mark the passing of years.  We ask you to please join us in in attending the One Heart - One Community Benefit BBQSunday afternoon June 25th, on the beautiful grounds of Sacred Heart in Olema.  It promises to be a family-friendly funfilled day of multi-cultural music and merriment, food and fellowship. The attached posters contain all the details.  If you are unable to attend but wish to help us SAVE SACRED HEART by making a monetary contribution please know that your donation will mean so much to so many, and that your investment will be an enduring and indelible marker on the fabric of this very special place.   We are all truly One Heart - One Community.
