Shoots and Seeds Free Gardening Class

Date:
Saturday, April 29, 2017 - 1:00pm to 3:00pm
Event Description:

Join us for our continuing series of free Saturday gardening classes! Shoots and Seeds: Techniques to Help You Successfully Start Plants from Seeds and Cuttings with local gardener, Michael Cavette. Propagating plants is an area even many seasoned gardeners approach warily, if at all. Simple missteps can lead to poor results and frustration. And the setup to do it properly can seem daunting. But learning to propagate your own plants - even a few - will enliven your gardening like no other measure. We will cover the basics of what a plant needs to root or germinate, where that often goes wrong, and then we will explore a few basic tools and techniques that address those problems and produce consistent, quality results.

We are now open daily from 10 - 5! We have lots of vegetable starts and CA native annuals in stock - all $3!
