Solo Flights

Location:
Event Description:

Enjoy an offering of home-grown, original, wildly different solo theater performances, in the warmth of the Dance Palace church space on an early autumn evening. Russ Bradley wears two hats: seabird biologist in charge of research on the Farallon Islands; and skilled improvisational performer, with Bay Area Theater Sports. This year he journeyed into the realm of written, life-story narrative, taking the audience from the wilds of British Columbia to Midway Atoll where a million albatross nest to the Farallones. Replete with seabirds. Neshama Franklin is a beloved librarian, KWMR radio programmer, and story-teller -- and something of a celebrity in the MOTH story-telling circuit, where she has won awards for her warm, ironic, humorous intelligence. Neshama will offer West Marin a brand-new story about her (mis)adventures learning Tai Chi. Claire Peaslee performs physical theater improvisation that rises entirely in the moment, with often hilarious results. The only promise she makes is that everyone (Claire included) will be surprised.

Join us! Sliding scale $10 to $20. Doors open 7:15, showtime is 7:30, running time just over one hour.
