We're hosting a workshop in the afternoon with drummer Scott Amendola that will benefit any musician regardless of skill level or instrument.  Scott's a master drummer and consumate sideman, and he is here to answer your questions and share his expertise with you on making a career in music.

As a drummer, composer, percussionist, bandleader and electronic sound mover, acclaimed Bay Area drummer Scott Amendola has a long history of propelling some of the world's most influential musicians. A potent creative catalyst who tours both nationally and abroad, Scott is continually exploring textures and rhythms with and improvisational sensibility and expands upon his sonic palette by employing custom designed electronics, including looping machines, pedals and ring modulators. His remarkably individual approach to drumming and gift for twisting musical genres in unexpected directions has also helped establish Scott as a peerless sideman, and among today's drumming elite.

West Marin Workshop's Music and Mentorship Series is a two-part program offers an afternoon mentorship session that enables participants to learn directly from established artists and music industry professionals. Workshops empower and inspire musicians by increasing participant's proficiency and self-confidence with their chosen instruments, providing practical advice for developing careers as musicians, and by fostering a community of like-minded individuals and future networking opportunities.
