Join us for a rugged hike down coastal dunes to the extreme end of South Beach on the Point Reyes peninsula. We'll visit the site of an elephant sea colony, clean the beach, and haul out lots of marine debris we've collected there! MEET at 9:30am at the South Beach parking lot, then we'll carpool to a secret trailhead that leads down to the beach. Must be able to hike steep coastal trails carrying 10-40 lbs of debris for 1-2 miles. Help Marine Debris Action Teams Project keep the remote site of the elephant seal colony free from debris!
