Spirit of Place is a retrospective show celebrating the art of Connie Smith Siegel. Please join us for the reception on Sunday, February 9, 4-7pm. Christine Hodil and Shawkie Roth will perform music at 5pm in response to the paintings.

Connie Smith Siegel has painted and exhibited for over forty years. Her landscapes, painted directly on location, come from an intimate connection with the earth—the spirit and light of specific places.

Connie's teaching career also spans four decades. She developed a unique series of classes that explore drawing and color as languages of feeling, intuitive response and healing. She has published two books, Spirit of Drawing and Spirit of Color. Her third book Creating Peace is being published online in pdf format.

To honor Connie’s lifelong dedication to art, this show will present a wide range of her work, some of which have rarely been seen.
