Event Description:

KWMR presents Sweethearts of the Radio, an annual acoustic concert of singer-songwriters at the Dance Palace in Point Reyes Station on Saturday, February 8, 2020.

The show will open with Desi and the Mish. Local duo, Dale Dualan and John Eleby, hail along the Shoreline Highway of Point Reyes, California and bring an eclectic combination of folk, Americana, and blues for easy listening and life contemplation.

This concert also brings together the award-winning talents of two more musical couples: gifted fiddle player Annie Staninec and John Kael on guitar, banjo and mandolin, both from Portland. As well as singer-song writer and bluegrass flat-picker, Yoseff and his partner, upright bassist and singer, Katya Tucker, of San Francisco. Back from recent tours as a four-piece band in Ireland and the northwest, they look forward to bringing their unique musical synergy in both duet & quartet form.

West Marin’s acclaimed Bovine Bakery’s delectable sweets will be available for purchase as Alex Porrata and Mike Parkinson’s, Inverness Photobooth, snap pictures, before the musical acts begin. Beer, wine, and other beverages will also be available for purchase.

Tickets are $25 at www.kwmr.org or $30 at the door. Doors open at 7:30pm; the show starts at 8pm. This annual benefit is held at The Dance Palace, a performance space and community center in beautiful, verdant Point Reyes Station.
