Date:
Saturday, June 2, 2018 - 5:30pm
Location:
Event Description:

A community celebration for young and old.  Come join in the Hootenanny to warm your tummy, soothe your soul and wear in those dancing boots.

Starting at 5:00 pm in front of the Barn the Aztec Dancers will be serving pozole, tamales and aguas frescas and there will be the acclaimed salsa tasting hosted by Abriendos Caminos.

Inside at 5:30 pm the Point Reyes Children's Choir will perform followed by the adult West Marin Choir with arrangements to get you into the western dancing mood.

From 6:30 pm until 9:30 pm the annual Western Weekend Barn Dance to the sounds of Erik Thor & Hands Four.  Erik Hoffman, our long time favorite caller, will get you going places you have never been.  The Hands Four will be flying with Ingrid Noyes and Erik Hoffman on fiddles, Michael Harmon on guitar, Roxanne Oliva on accordian and Paul Knight on bass.  Local musicians are encouraged to join (on time!).  All ages and skills can rollick in line dancing with friends and family.

This is a free community event including the awarding of the Junior Grand Marshall Award around 7:30 pm.

Bring one, bring all to this true and free community event.  Donations for the musicians gratefully accepted, but hesitation to dance is prohibited.
