"Two Roads" EP Release House Concert in Forest Knolls

Date:
Sunday, January 27, 2019 - 4:00pm to 6:00pm
Location:
Event Description:

"Two Roads" is my 6-song EP which was released on 10/11/18. It is the 3rd album I have released, and the first of my albums which is an acoustic solo project--i.e., my vocals and guitar recorded "live" on a single track and comprised of some of the best of my most recent original songs. The title track, "Two Roads", is inspired by the celebrated 1916 poem by Robert Frost, "The Road Not Taken". Another song on the album is "San Geronimo Valley", whose lyrics by this same title were written in 1982 by Kate Wolf, a wonderful songwriter who used to live in the Valley. I found her lyrics in the "San Geronimo Valley Resource Guide" in 2011 and was immediately moved to write music to them, as Kate Wolf was always one of my favorite songwriters. Two other songs on the album have won "Best Song" at some local West Coast Songwriters competitions. The EP Release Concert/Party will be held in my cottage in Forest Knolls. I'll perform the 6 songs on my EP, "Two Roads", plus other select songs (it's possible I may even recruit a fiddle player or other instrumentalist). If there's any interest and there are enough songwriters/musicians in the house, we can also have a song circle/jam afterwards (PS: I have a spinet piano in the house, and my guitar can be used). More details as we go.

Cost: Sliding Scale: $10 up (a copy of my "Two Roads" EP album is included with the cover charge). Snacks & Drinks provided (optional donations for party expenses) All those who RSVP "going" will get the exact address in Forest Knolls on or about January 21st. If you do RSVP that you're going, please tell me if you're bringing a guest(s). Feel free to message me here with questions.
