UC Marin Master Gardener Seminar: Gardening with California Natives at the Point Reyes Library

Date:
Saturday, October 21, 2017 - 10:30am to 12:00pm
Event Description:

Come to the Point Reyes Library on Saturday, October 21st from 10:30-12:00 pm for our second Master Gardener seminar: Gardening with California Natives. There are thousands of native California plants and Marin County's Mediterranean climate is the perfect place for many of them. Learn why and how using native plants in your landscape is a way to help make up for habitat lost to development. Because native plants have co-evolved with native birds, butterflies, bees, other beneficial insects and mammals, planting them in your gardens helps maintain these populations. By using native plants, you can build a beautiful landscape that uses less water and fewer chemical fertilizers and pesticides. For more information, call the Point Reyes Library at 415-663-8375.
