West Marin Film Festival: DACA Two Film Screenings and a Discussion Jan. 26 at 7:00 pm at the Dance Palace

Date:
Friday, January 26, 2018 - 7:00pm to 8:30pm
Location:
Event Description:

Part of the West Marin Film Festival and in collaboration with the Point Reyes Library, local filmmaker, Corey Ohama and friend, Brenda Avila-Hanna will show their two films and follow with a discussion at the Dance Palace on Friday, January 26th at 7:00 pm and a second showing at the San Geronimo Valley Cultural Center at 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 27th. "I Was Born in Mexico, But..." is a creative portrait of a young woman who thought she was American but finds out as a teen that she is undocumented. "Vida Diferida" offers a window into the lives of undocumented children as changes in government transform hope into uncertainity. The films total 35 minutes in English with Spanish subtitles with a discussion afterwards. For more information, contact the Dance Palace at 415-663-8375 or the Point Reyes Library 415-663-8375.
