Event Description:
This film shows what private insurance is costing us, how the medical industry & government are ignoring the needs of the people, and yet the film ends up inspiring us to unite for change. With our new single-payer bill in the CA State Senate, the film is still very timely. This documentary explores what single-payer healthcare is and what is being done in a growing movement to make it happen.
Gail Bateson and Liza Goldblatt from WMST Healthcare Committee will facilitate a discussion after the film and offer brief presentations on the Canadian and a few European systems that provide healthcare for all.
