Western Weekend June 3rd and 4th!

Please join us for the 69th annual event that celebrates the rural roots of West Marin!

Start off on Saturday June 3rd with the West Marin Fair at Toby’s on Saturday at 12:30am with a dog obstacle course, part of the 4-H Fair which will be ready for viewing by 1pm, and more dog shows too.  Then GRO will host the Artists in the Schools and Latino Photography reception at 3pm. To top it off, the Annual Barn Dance will begin at 6pm and include the Salsa Tasting Contest, the introduction of the Grand Marshal, Jr. Grand Marshal and Deputy Grand Marshals and more!

On Sunday June 4th please note we have a new Non-Profit EXPO, which is a new feature at the Town Commons that invites all parade participants to host an informational table about your organization and the good work you do for and with the West Marin Community. Tables will be provided. You can park your float on the street, decorate with all your parade stuff, engage costumed board members and staff to share information about your organization and/or events coming up. If you would like to participate please call Madeline Nieto Hope at 415-446-8587. This is a unique opportunity to showcase to the wider community your non-profits activities. Please join us.

Remember, the Western Weekend parade begins at noon (entry forms can be picked up Building Supply Hardware). The parade is followed by the usual events at Toby’s Feed Barn including the Farm Bureau’s Famous Chicken Barbecue, 4-H Dessert, The Rotary of West Marin-Chili Cook-Off, and this year we're pleased that the Abriendos Caminos will be join us there as well.
