Help Rescued Sanctuary Animals in Nicasio! ~Rancho Compasión~

Calling all compassionate community members/animal lovers! Lend a helping hand at Rancho Compasión in Nicasio! We are a 501(c)3 non-profit animal sanctuary that gives neglected, abused, and abandoned farm animals a loving forever home. We are a home to over 50 goats, pigs, ducks, chickens, donkeys, cows, and sheep. We are always building our educational outreach, working with school programs to educate them on compassionate living and the effects of inhumane agricultural practices.

Our volunteers get down and dirty, helping muck stalls, feed animals, build structures and fencing, assist with renovation projects, attend special events, and, of course, make sure the animals get spoiled with affection! Volunteering at Rancho Compasión is lots of fun!

Are you a local? Our more regular volunteers come once or twice a week (or more, depending on your schedule). Get in touch with us if you are interested in becoming a regular volunteer.

Can only make it out here once in a while? We host monthly volunteer work days, where people come from all over the Bay to help out. There's lots of work to be done, and fun to be had! Food is always provided, usually as a vegan potluck up at our gorgeous vineyard.

Reach out to us on our website, ranchocompasion.org. If you can't make it as a volunteer, consider donating, or join us for our Hoedown on Sunday, September 2nd. Buy tickets today!

People from ages 13 - 113 are welcome and everyone must sign our waiver.

***For legal reasons we can only allow 13 years and up to volunteer with a guardian. If you have younger children, please come for a visitor day!
*** Visitor dogs are not permitted. This is for their safety and that of the animals. Please leave companion dogs at home.
