Volunteers needed for Dinner on the Pacific Plate September 21

Volunteers are needed for the 4th annual Dinner on the Pacific Plate fundraising event on Saturday, September 21, at Point Reyes National Seashore's Bear Valley grove, across from the Bear Valley Visitor Center in Olema. For more information, or to register as a volunteer, contact Volunteer Coordinator Suzanne d'Coney at suzanned@ptreyes.org

The lively gourmet dinner prepared by Pamela Ferrari Catering is hosted by Point Reyes National Seashore Association (PRNSA) in collaboration with the National Park Service. Funds raised support habitat and trail restoration, wildlife and endangered species protection, stewardship volunteer programs, environmental education programs for people of all ages, and scholarships that allow more than 1,000 underserved children to experience Point Reyes.

Three volunteer shifts are available: Set-up (10 a.m. to 2 p.m.); Cocktail and Dinner Service (3:30 to 9 p.m.), and Wrap-up (8 to 10:30 p.m.). Event set-up volunteers will receive lunch, and Cocktail and Dinner Service volunteers will receive dinner either during scheduled breaks or after the main event. All volunteers receive a black, long sleeve 2013 Dinner on the Pacific t-shirt, a waterproof Point Reyes map, and a Klean Kanteen water bottle.
