Fibershed Wool & Fine Fiber Symposium and The Fibershed Marketplace

The theme for this year’s Symposium is “Soil to Soil.” In addition to hands-on activities (natural dyes, fiber processing, fiber animals), there will be informative presentations on collaborations between fiber farmers and designers, as well as on carbon farming and soil protocol.

 

The Fibershed Marketplace will offer an array of beautiful local fibers and handmade goods, on sale in the church building, as well as on the lawn (weather permitting).

The Marketplace is open to the public for free.

These pieces started on a messy tabletop covered with odd scraps, some of which are shocked to find that ended up at the same party, reluctantly enjoying themselves.

Pt Reyes Day of the Dead Procession and Celebration

This Saturday, Nov. 1st, 2014 everyone is invited to meet outside at Gallery Route One at 5:45pm for the Dias de los Muertos Procession to the Dance Palace. Join in a multicultural, all-ages community event and remember your loved ones on this special day. Bring pictures and mementoes to carry in the procession and to place on the community altar at the Dance Palace. Feel free to wear a costume! The Procession will be led by the Aztec Dancers and will feature the Community Voices chorus.
