host a screening of the film Being Mortal
based on the best-selling book by Atul Gawande

 

Join us to watch the film and engage in a lively post-film panel discussion with members of the Marin County Commission on Aging

The film investigates the practice of caring for the dying, and shows how doctors are often remarkably untrained, ill-suited and uncomfortable talking about chronic illness and death with their patients.

The end-of-the-year show at Art by the Bay Weekend Gallery will feature a large number of small accessibly priced etchings done by West Marin artist, Charles Eckhart. There will be an additional portfolio of etchings available, as well as a few older paintings. Eckhart’s handmade book, “Midnight Ride” will also be on display.
