This is an all-ages open mic.  All acts, and all artists, are welcome to share.  Refreshments (tea and hot beverages, sweet treats) provided by Key Tea in Lagunitas.   This open mic is held the first friday of every month at the San Geronimo Community Cultural Center from 7-10pm.  Every open mic has a Feature Performer.  This month it is local singer-songwriter/guitarist Jo D'Anna from Forest Knolls

West Marin Housing Chat & County Workshop

If you or those you know would like to talk about our West Marin housing issues – and potentially speak at a County Workshop on December 15th, then come to the Point Reyes Library at 5:00pm on Tuesday, December 8th and we will discuss and organize ourselves.

The County will host a workshop on December 15th at 5:00pm at the Civic Center (Board of Supervisors Chambers) on protections for renters such as a just cause eviction ordinance, and rent stabilization  that would cap the % of rent increase that could be implemented in a year’s time.

YIA Mentor Artist Nydia Gonzalez and core members of TARIMBA, Lolis García and Kyla Danysh, are experienced multi-instrumentalists and vocalists who actively perform and teach in the Bay Area music community. During this lively and dynamic presentation, students will take a musical journey through México, exploring various traditions that have developed from México's rich cultural history.

Sing with Coro de los Muertos

Sing with Coro de los Muertos

 

All are invited to sing with Coro de los Muertos (Chorus of the Dead), a community choir that will perform at the November 1st Day of the Dead celebration. Kids and adults are welcome. The chorus sings original and Mexican folk music arranged in 4-part harmony. All are welcome, and no singing experience or music-reading skills are required. Participation is free to the community.
