FREE Sustainable Holiday Wreath Making Workshop

Oak woodland and grassland habitat are threatened by outcompeting Douglas-fir trees. Our staff and volunteers regularly remove these rapid spreaders.  Join us for an afternoon of crafting with the beautiful and pleasant smelling evergreen branches and make holiday decorations for your home. All tools and supplies are provided. 

 

This event is FREE but limited to 30 participants. Address and directions will be provided with reservation. The whole family is welcome!

For The Ocean A Benefit Art Sale for Ocean Conservation Research

Event Description: 

Inspired by traditional Tibetan prayer flags, we are requesting our fellow artists to join us by making and contributing your own string of prayer flags, which will festoon the coffee bar area of Toby”s Feed Barn for one week in November prior to being sold at the gathering on November 18th.

THE DETAILS:

Your string of prayer flags can be paper or cloth, any dimension and in any medium. Each string should contain a minimum of 5 flags. 

The flags should be well attached to a sturdy (but not too heavy) string, with lots of extra on either end.

You are invited to the 1st annual Day of the Dead Mexican Dinner Fund Raiser on Saturday, October 7th, 6 to 9 pm. $40 tickets are all inclusive, drinks and a delicious Mexican Dinner prepared by local chefs. The two poets will discuss art, craft, and their newest books, A Little Book on Form and Why Poetry, respectively, which delve into the big questions of the poetic imagination: where does poetry come from? How does a poem affect a reader? What should we look for when reading and writing poetry? Proceeds from this benefit event support the West Marin Review and Tomales Bay Library Association. $30.
